invites you to participate in Katharsis 2012
Calling visual artists in all disciplines to participate in Arte Without Borders's 1st Art Collective showcase Katharsis 2012 to take place at the Latino Art Museum in Pomona CA, in which they will be able to participate under the following guidelines:
1. Sign ups are officially open upon the arrival of this invitation, with a participation fee of $200 dlls which will allow each artist participant to display their art piece for the duration of 1 month at the museum, the artist is required to attend the first meeting which will take place on Friday April 13th at 6:30PM at El Centro Del Pueblo 1157 Lemoyne street Los Angeles CA 90026
* 50% of the participation fee ($100) will be due on the first meeting, a contract will be signed with Arte without Borders which will allow you to enjoy the benefits of the showcase at the museum . The rest of the participation fee ($100) will be due on June 6th when the art piece or installation must be turned in at the museum. In the event that the artist is not available to attend the first meeting he or she must notify in advance the Collective's curator in order to make arrangements for the submission of such fee.
2. Deadline for finishing the piece: May 28th.
3. Art pieces, installation, etc must be delivered on June 6th, 2012 to the Gran Salon West and to the Main Salon in the museum. The museum will receive the pieces in order to promote each artist's work including conference, and sales.
4. The art pieces will be taken to the museum in good shape and presentation to 281 S. Thomas St. Suite 105, Pomona CA 91766.< p>
5. In the event that an art piece is sold Arte Without Borders Collective will take 40%. This 40% ensures that Arte without borders continues it's mission of promoting art in the area helping with the incurred costs of space rental, promotion, advertisement, printing, snacks, and so forth.

*Closing Reception Saturday June 30th, 2012 Part of the Pomona Art Walk 4:00PM-8:00PM
6. This art collective is open to all disciplines: Paint, mixed media, Graphic Design, Photography, Sculpture, and Art installation.
7. Each Artist is allowed to bring 4 pieces which will be placed throughout the museum depending on their genre, theme, language etc.
8. Maximum measurement of a framed piece can be 27"X23" with title, cost information, such information should be printed on white labels or cards which should measure 3"x2"
9. A written essay must accompany the piece in an 8.5"X 11" page.
10. If presenting a video installation, the genre and content must be specified, also the name of the participants, technical team etc. Duration of video should be no more than 5 minutes in loop mode (will play over and over again).
11. If needed each artist is responsible for bringing their own technical equipment such as TV, dvd player, laptop or projector.
12. Each artist must have a Biography about their work and experience as an artist with a headshot ready for submission when asked.< p>
