Following training at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, Theadora Van Runkle started out as an illustrator for store advertisements and catalogues. She first worked in the motion picture industry as a sketch artist on the epic film HAWAII (1967). Van Runkle made a lasting name for herself, as a motion picture costume designer, when her first film, BONNIE & CLYDE, with her 1930's costumes for Faye Dunaway, Warren Beatty, Gene Hackman, Estelle Parsons, Gene Wilder, and Michael J. Pollard started an exciting international fashion trend.
Van Runkle went on to become a top designer in her field, creating costumes for all the great stars of our time - Lucille Ball (MAME); Peter Sellers (I LOVE YOU ALICE B. TOKLAS); Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Dianne Keaton, Robert Duvall (GODFATHER II); Liza Minelli, Robert DeNiro (NEW, YORK, NEW YORK); Raquel Welch, John Huston (MYRA BRECKINGRIDGE); Steve McQueen (BULLIT); Warren Beatty, Julie Christie and Dyan Cannon (HEAVEN CAN WAIT); Ryan O'Neil, Burt Reynolds, Tatum O'Neil (NICKELODEON); Julie Andrews, William Holden, Shelly Winters, Larry Hagman (S.O.B); Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters (THE JERK); Dolly Parton (BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS), and more... 36 major motion pictures in all!
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Science nominated Theadora Van Runkle for an Oscar for Best Costume Design for BONNIE & CLYDE (1967), THE GODFATHER, PART II (1974) and PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED (1986).
Van Runkle went on to win the Los Angeles Art Directors Award (in 1962) and she joined other fashion icons, such as Oscar de la Renta, when the international press honored her with the Golden Tiberius Award in Rome, Italy (1968)
Van Runkle has been nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Costumes from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films for her work on HEAVEN CAN WAIT (1978) and PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED (1986), and she won the BAFTA Film Award (the English equivalent of the Oscar) for Best Costume Design for NEW YORK, NEW YORK (1977).
Van Runkle also received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Costume Design for the Series WIZARDS AND WARRIORS (1983).
Theadora Van Van Runkle was awarded the Career Achievement Award from the Costume Designers Guild in 2002.

An emerging artist on the Los Angeles art scene, Eros Obregon has been painting since he was 8 years old, when he was enrolled in one of Tijuana's premiere art schools, "La Casa de la Cultura." It wasn't until Eros moved to the United States, however, that his artwork began to express his own personal view of humanity and spirituality, and, in 2001, he began to seriously focus his vision on a world that he believes is at times locked in illusion.
Obregon's paintings employ countless symbols and signs that tap into a greater collective consciousness, forms that depict the archetypal realm lying just below the skin of everyday ordinary awareness. Eros’ drawings are particularly expressive, a spontaneous interplay between form and content that some say uniquely captures the subjects at hand.
Eros also began studying performance at 6 years old when his Mother enrolled him in dance, theatrical, and folk art classes. He later took up more formal studies in modern dance.
At 17, Obregon also began his career as an award-winning fashion model, first with the Glamour Agency in Tijuana, Mexico, and then working under contract with Arte Model and an international clientele.
On coming to the United States, Eros continued his modeling career with the Action Agency located in the Sunset Plaza district of Los Angeles. It was then that he began to shift his focus to more concerted efforts in the visual fine arts. His performance activities began to shift as well, with more modern dance - jazz and ballet - and especially through performance art, both in the mytho-classical sense, as well as a venue for more socio-political activism. This latter theme continues to carry over into Eros' fine art today.
